WeMakewell (Horse Sessions Non-Ridden)

We are delighted to be able to offer relaxing and fun horse sessions here onsite at Makewell. These are open to anyone, there is no riding, it will all be groundwork and totally led by what you want to do, whether it’s grooming, cuddling, or leading them.

We are inclusive to all. We can bring the horses onto hard ground for wheelchair users, or anyone with limited mobility to equally enjoy. Equally as SEN specialists our team will create a unique and safe time for you and / or your child.

Our groups are open to parents and carers of children with SEND, regardless of age, diagnosis, or stage of the journey. Whether you’re new to SEND or an experienced advocate, you’re welcome here.

Quiet Shopping Hours

Midsummer Place run quiet shopping hours every Monday from 4pm-6pm.

Quiet shopping hours offer numerous benefits for neurodivergent individuals by reducing overwhelming stimuli and creating a more manageable shopping experience

A positive start to the week can provide several benefits for neurodivergent individuals, including improved mood, increased focus, and enhanced productivity. By establishing a routine that supports strengths and preferences, neurodiverse individuals can leverage a good start to the week to feel more comfortable and successful in their work and personal lives.

Preparing for Adulthood Team

We support young people (aged 16+), including those with care experience or additional needs helping them build confidence, independence, and success.

Working alongside parents and carers, we provide guidance, opportunities, and the right support to help them achieve their goals and aspirations.

Together, we make the transition into adulthood a positive journey where they can thrive.
